Our purpose:
The founding of our nation set in motion a new experiment in “Freedom & Self Government”. The genius of this governing revolution was amply demonstrated by the spectacular economic and social progress unleashed in the world as governments based on the “consent of the governed” replaced the tyrannies that had been the norm for all of known history.
As we move into the 21 century, the forces of tyranny are once again on the move, threatening to gain the upper hand.
In recognition and respect for our founding principal of inalienable human rights based on the concepts of God and Natural Law, this website has been established as a place for people to rediscover the circumstances and ethical principles that gave rise to our culture of individual rights and responsibilites ultimately expressed in the writing and construction of our founding documents and institutions.
Within that framework we understand that all men are created equal in the eyes of our creator and that each of us has an equal right to pursue Life, Liberty and Happiness as we each see fit, so long as we do not impinge on those same rights of our fellow men. Our Federal Government was established with the specific intent to protect our individual rights from both our fellow men and the government itself.
Sadly, over the years, that system suffered both the neglect of the American Citizen and the rot of an elitie ruling class. Combined, these forces slowly turned it into a playground for personal wealth and power at the expense of everyone else. While I hope it’s not too late, the words of Ronald Reagan ring in my head as a dystopian reality we may in fact be rapidly approaching.
Here at Freedomsgood.com we take the position that personal freedom is indisputably good – the more the better.
